Who we are
Policy.Partners ("we", "us", "our") is a strategic advisory service for universities, operating in collaboration with Wonkhe, The Post-18 Project and Counterculture. For any questions about this notice or how we handle personal data, contact hello@policy.partners.

We collect limited personal information when you:
- Contact us by email or through this website.
- Engage us for advisory work, away days, health checks, or partnership services.
- Ask to receive occasional updates or thought leadership from us.
- Visit our website, where basic technical data (such as IP address and browser type) may be collected by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.

How we use information
We use personal data to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you have requested.
- Administer engagements, contracts and invoicing.
- Send occasional updates about our work, where you have asked to receive them.
- Meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Legal basis
We rely on the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:
- Contract – where processing is necessary to perform work you have engaged us for.
- Legitimate interests – for responding to enquiries and running the business, provided your rights are not overridden.
- Consent – where you have opted in to receive communications from us.
- Legal obligation – where we are required to process data by law, for example for tax or financial records.
Sharing information
We do not sell personal data. We may share information with:
- Our advisors and associates where necessary to deliver an engagement.
- Professional service firms (accountants, lawyers) bound by their own confidentiality duties.
- Our hosting and infrastructure providers, acting under written instructions.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where legally required.
Data retention
We retain personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, or to meet legal requirements. Engagement records are typically kept for seven years to meet financial and tax obligations. Enquiry correspondence is deleted within two years unless it progresses to an engagement.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request erasure in certain circumstances.
- Object to or restrict processing.
